For files under 50MB, everything happens in your browser. For files over 50MB, you can optionally use our server which transfers files over HTTPS and automatically deletes them within 2 minutes.
What is the file size limit?
Free tier: 50MB total (client-side, unlimited merges). Paid tier: 500MB total (server-side, secure processing).
Why does large file processing require an account?
Accounts let us securely track which files to delete and ensure your files are removed correctly within 2 minutes. Client-side merging (under 50MB) never requires an account.
Is this really unlimited?
Unlimited merges within your browser's memory limits (typically 50-200MB depending on device). For unlimited large files, see our paid tier.
How is this different from other PDF tools?
Most tools upload ALL files to their servers. We only upload large files (>50MB) and only if you choose to use that option.
Do you track my files?
No. We may collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, browser type, device info) but never file names, file content, or personal identifiers.
